Much history
Doge is an Internet meme that became popular in 2013. It features a Shiba Inu dog accompanied by colorful text, often in Comic Sans, representing a kind of internal monologue written in deliberately broken English.
The meme is most famously associated with Kabosu, a Shiba Inu whose photograph became widely shared online. Doge also inspired Dogecoin, a cryptocurrency launched in December 2013.
Its iconic phrases include "such wow", "much amaze", "very nice", and the legendary "wow".
